Arches National Park 1974 Shaded Relief Map
This map is based on the 1974 USGS topographic survey of Arches National Park, Utah — home to over 2,000 documented natural stone arches, including Landscape Arch and Delicate Arch, carved from Entrada sandstone over millions of years. We georeferenced the original and added shaded relief using modern digital elevation data, bringing the park's fins, canyons, and arches into convincing three-dimensional depth.
The dimension is created entirely through printed shading — it's flat to the touch, not raised, so it frames beautifully like any fine art print.
A note on legibility: this map preserves the original 1974 lettering, so some labels are small, and text beneath the darkest shading can be hard to read. Our largest size shows the clearest detail.
